I'm guessing you spoke to a different person on each occasion - right?

I'm slowly coming to the realisation that in this day and age, if you want a
correct and accurate answer from a vendor/manufacturer, you need to speak to
2 or 3 different people and go with the majority view. Aside from the fact
that quality control (proper procedure) for support staff is non-existent,
they simply don't give a sh*t about their job or the customer. So they'll
sprout whatever answer they either think is right, or gets the customer off
their back, without checking.

The only up-side is that sometimes this can work to your advantage. If at
first you don't get the response you're after, it can pay to try again! We
were recently looking to buy a kitchen appliance, proffered evidence of an
on-line price, only to be told by the salesperson that there's "absolutely
no way they could do that price". So we walked some 10 ft over to another
salesperson, who had no hesitation in accepting our offer.

Regards,
