I just don't understand this attitude. Why does anyone care when vista is
ready, is there something like Y2K that needs to be address forcing people
to want to upgrade before some deadline? Isn't 2038 kind of a long way off?

Personally, I can't believe MS makes all that much money from aftermarket
upgrades, so I don't understand their big rush. They should just say Vista
won't be out till 2010 or something and then get it right and include all
the stuff that was dropped.

People buy new hardware, MS gets their cut when that hardware is sold. They
don't need new versions of windows. Has everyone forgot how long Windows
3.1 was available?
