This has been one of the major problems slowing me down with the porting of stuff like BRE, etc. Some of the code relies heavily on old Borland Pascal bugs and it's difficult or nearly impossible to replicate. And when I say "some of the code" I mean some significant parts of it. It's had me groaning for years. In my case, I'd prefer a compiler where I can issue a single directive to "break" the way it builds the app. That way, it's standards compliant, but with a flip of a switch, I can emulate all those old bugs. FreePascal actually has two checkboxes for TP/BP and Delphi compiler support - though I'm not sure if it actually emulates the bugs as well. ---* Origin: http ftp telnet://badnews.bbs.us & badnewsbbs.darktech.org (3:633/690) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 633/690 285 260 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
