Your message to me (quoted by Tom) must have happened just after we lost 
our local bbs for a few weeks.
  Judging from this excerpt and from later parts of the thread, I should 
look for an 800 (even though it's not bloody likely that I'll run across 
one like you mentioned in a later post--the one that "got away") which has 
EL-34's.  And, since they've not yet gone into "price runaway" like the 
Plexi's have, I ought to do this fairly soon.
