6000, or even 3000 round per second would be awfully effective, even 
using .22shorts.  A ¬ second burst would drop 12-25 rounds of lead 
roughly the same a #4 buck.   And 250 or even 500 rounds of .22 short is 
relatively concealable.  At least as far as 500 rounds go...  :-)
