Yes, sure. Think about using two mice; one holds an object and the other
drags it - now you can twist, turn, stretch and what not. The principle is
just about the same. Touch-screens typically emulate the mouse (I've worked
with them a few times), so you just need to program the "normal"
mouse stuff like drag, hold and click, and then do that with two mice, and
there you go.
I'm not saying it's not cool, but it's actually much simpler than it might
look. At least I think it is, unless I'm missing something which can also
be the case
