Marion,
there is the species amazona ochrocephala (Yellow Fronted/Headed).
One subspecies is amazona ochrocephala auropalliata (Yellow Nape).
Here's a list:
auropalliata: Bend of wing GREEN; lower Beak dark like Yellow
Fronted (A. ochropcephala ochrocephala from
Suriname).
parvipes: smaller, bend of wing RED, beak paler and less
heavily pigmented.
hondurensis: always yellow front, bend of wing RED, beak greyly
to light horn coloured, endemic only in Sula
Valley, Honduras.
caribae: lower beak like hondurensis, but endemic only Islas
de la Bahia.
intermediate: ???
I wrote an article about that some time ago. If you can read
German, tell me, I'll post by Netmail. I would like to get some
photos (dias) from Yellow Nape Amazons, and more informations
about Voren's intermediate form.
