Hi Nigel, NR>Thanks for the suggestions. I like to get a wider range of ideas. I NR>thought this would be a good place to ask anyway. If I'm not wrong you asked about used HF transceivers for less than USD 500. Why not add 50 bucks to that and get a factory new Icom IC-718 complete with DSP. I would do that and even if I have a Drake TR-7 I'm still contemplating to buy such a rig.
