Replying to a message of Ed Hulett to Bob Ackley: BA>> I still have three Heathkit H-89s, which are Z-80s; one got a brain BA>> transplant in the 80s - replaced the motherboard with a MicroMint BA>> SB-180 board, it was also upgraded with the companion MicroMint SCSI BA>> controller and a 20MB SCSI HD. Also a Northstar Horizon, which is BA>> an 8080. EH> You must have a large barn to hold all your toys. :-) Actually, it's a room in one of the outbuildings, about 12x15 feet. Contains my big toys - an IBM S/390 plus peripherals, an AS/400, a VAX and a couple of pallets stacked over five feet high with documentation. The smaller stuff is here in the house (three pallets in the basement are stacked about 6 feet high with desktops a former employer threw out). All together there are over 100 computers here, only about six are in regular service (and 2 of those are Linux test beds). --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:2905/3) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 2905/3 282/0 14/5 153/757 106/1 2000 633/267 |
