I'm playing with BC++ 3.1 with the aid of a book. (I have no ambition to make my living as a programmer; I'd just like to be able to make my computer do things!) The book gives some source and tells you how to compile it with the BCC as well as using the IDE. Even in the few simple (one or two line) programmes it's used so far, I've noticed that if I run the compile and link the examples, the resulting .exe file produced by BCC is only about 75% of the .exe file produced by BC.
