Considering lfn remain invisible for DOS on a hpfs I can't see how this could
happen.  On the other hand there is a program available for reading hfps
drives in dos.
With regards to RAR and RAR/2.  I have rar'd up a directory tree full of long
file names.  When viewed through RAR the long file names are invisible.  Long
file names zip/2'd up remain visible but unextractable in zip for dos.
