Another of the options in the (Y)our Settings menu is (O)ffline
settings, which is the next place to go. Along with setting protocols
and various other things relating to your message packet and getting it
to you are the options to choose the areas to be getting messages from
AND, voila, (U)pload PTR file. You choose that, upload the file which
you extracted from your zipped QWK packet, and then it usually lets you
choose whether you want the pointers from (B)efore the last download or
(A)fter the last download. If you managed to salvage this from the
trashed d/l you pick Before, and if it's from the previous d/l you pick
After. :)

AT> I guess the old geezer is loosin' it!!

Not necessarily... :) Sometimes one just needs to know where* to
look... :) These very helpful magic spells sometimes get buried under
a couple layers of menus, and it isn't always intuitive which option to
check to find them.

NOTE to lurkers... we are discussing specifically finding these options
on a Wildcat board for the QWK offline door, particularly at Doc's
Place. :) Good thing for us, now that there are so few places where
one can get a true Bluewave packet, that George gave us good QWK support
in the reader! :)
