It's not a long or difficult name, and he's been a major part of my life since I was 17, but I drew a total blank. His name is Doug - last name the same as mine!! I was hideously embarrassed, looked like a complete fool, people made all sorts of jokes about sub-consciously wiping the mind after divorce and things about Feud and so on. Even Doug looked at me a bit strangely, and he as a good sense of humour. Not one of my shining moments. > >> > > > So? I still adore the voice and enjoy the old Bond movies, and the Raiders of the Lost Ark III, but as a person he lost me then, especially when his reaoning was to stop women telling him things he didn't want to hear "They have a habit of going on at you about things, and they won't stop if you tell them you don't want to hear it, so a slap is completely justified to teach them to stop. Just the open hand, there's no need for closed fists, but you have a right to do what you want in your own house and they need to be taught that." > If he'd said a man had a right to defend himself if a woman attacked him, I would have had a different reaction, but his reasoning showed me that he considers women to be children or pets. > The only good thing I can say about him is at least he's honest - not like OJ Simpson or Ike Turner who deny they beat their wives > Laurie blood pressure just shot way up Phoenix > --- Rachel's Little NET2FIDO Gate v 0.9.9.8 Alpha* Origin: Rachel's Experimental Echo Gate (1:135/907.17) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 135/907 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
