I have fond memories of Fidonet, but recent posts in this echo almost make me glad that Fidonet is dying. Is anyone here interested in amateur radio at all? I'm currently agonising over whether to buy a 2m mobile radio so that I can at least get into the local repeater, to save up until the middle of next year when I might be able to buy a dual-band mobile (opening the door to IRLP) or to just keep saving until I'm old and grey and can afford an Icom IC-718 (or whatever the equivalent will be by then). 73, - Andy, KB9YLW --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag* Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/300 400 34/999 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 222/2 SEEN-BY: 229/4000 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1404 1406 1410 1417 1418 SEEN-BY: 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 633/260 262 267 690/734 712/848 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2800/18 2905/0 3005/4 @PATH: 261/38 633/260 267 |
