DM> We know enough about biology and biochemistry to have a good idea of
DM> what is and isn't transmissable between humans and animals. For it to
DM> happen at all, the species in question have to have *very* similar
DM> biochemistries, so that a minor mutation in the bug can enable it to
DM> thrive in the new environment. Humans and apes are both primates, so
DM> there may be some reason for concern. Humans and dogs are way too far
DM> apart to worry about germs/viruses being transmissible.
SB> No thanks, I think I'll keep this on my "worry list", but I agree
SB> it's 'way on down there!
Far enough down that it's not on my worry list at all.
DM> it, tug off the diaper, clean the kid (guess how!), and try to bury the
DM> dirty diaper. No report on whether the dog tended to throw up a lot or
DM> have the runs, but it wouldn't be a big surprise if it did...
SB> Eeeeewwwwww!
Indeed. I think the parent's response was similar but stronger when
they found out what was happening.
