A RANDY Navy officer is being fined for romping on a ship with a Wren.

The lieutenant invited the blonde, a junior rating, to his cabin for nookie
on the survey ship HMS Enterprise.

Crew members say the pair became close after spending months at sea.

They seized their chance when the vessel docked at Valetta, Malta, for a
short break.

But a crew member tipped off the captain, Cdr Vaughan Nail.

The 26-year-old lieutenant was told he could have faced a court martial for
breaching the Navy's strict "no touching" rule between men and Wrens on
board.

But instead, he will be fined £200 and reprimanded. No action is to be taken
against the 20-year-old Wren who is considered to have been "led astray".

A crewman said: "The ship is pretty small but there's enough room in an
officer's cabin for a full-scale night of passion."

A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that there was an
incident on board HMS Enterprise."
