I enjoyed TITANIC, but I am somewhat bemused by the repeat
viewers. I enjoyed the technical stuff about how the ship
filled with water, broke up, and sank, more than the story.
That is, the story was okay and considerably better than most in
a disaster film. I have been known to snuffle with the best of
them at emotional films, but this one just didn't have that
effect on me.
I had the same reaction to THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE. This
certainly didn't make either film a flop for me, but I think I'm
drawn to the puzzle aspect - how everything is put together,
how it falls apart, and the necessary adjustments\new problems
that arise as matters progress.
