subject: Princess by Lee McAndrew

You're so obliging
And so sweet
What a friend
You are to me

	You're so pleasing
	To the eye

You entertain us
Make us smile
We eagerly wait
At the appointed time

	You're a princess
	I'm a lie

We try to so hard
To make you laugh
Just to please us
You play along

	They all love you
	And I know why

You're too nice to be here
I am brought to shame
Yet I must acknowledge
The work of art that I survey

	You're a princess
	I'm a lie

You wake up
In the morning
Eagerly I watch
As you rub your bleary eyes

	You're a drug
	I need my "high"

They get too pushy
You stand you ground
No-one can knock you
From your throne

	You're a princess
	I'm a lie
