I think the confusion here is that in this conference, commercial
businesses are prohibited from posting ads. It is perfectly okay for
individuals to post for-sale messages of their personal items.
In order to comply with the rules, you would have to transfer ownership
of Starfleet Software's Atari inventory to you personally, then post the
ads under your name as your personal property. The idea is that you
shouldn't mention the name of your company in the ad.
You are correct, you did in fact post "Or Best Offer". I remember
seeing it in your first post. Anyone is free to respond that your
asking price is above the current market prices seen here. I would
advise that you just ignore these posts if they offend you, and to not
fly off the handle. People get a bad impression if you appear to be
flying off the handle.

I do. And I think others do to. I think what people find objectionable
now is the minor violation of the rules prohibiting commerical sales
here (appearently there is no exception for liquidation items, which is
unfortunate). Personal attacks and flames going back and forth are also
off topic. The best thing to do is to not respond to attacks, and
instead send netmail to the moderator asking that the offenders be
corrected.
