my current linux install do more then that :)

i have irex in /home/xpoint/fido/irex/ and i have /home/xpoint/fido/bin in
my path, and i just looked at irex but do not use it, but i have it it
installed

 RT> Corrupt *.rex files could also be your problem.

i delete all *.rex files and configure my setup
