Hello Scott,
Well, we were running DOS 5.0 - 6.2 with the vlms being loaded through
a batch file (startnet.bat) under Novell Netware 3.12. This was
performed through the Autoexec file.
When I installed Win95 on the rprinter machine, I tried to load it through
the Autoexec, through the startup group as a shortcut, and as a manual
shortcut. Each time it gave me an error about loading. I searched the
internet and compuserve, and I found two items. One was to use the
printer agent that comes on the win95 CD. The other was something about
Client32 with Nprinter. When I asked the company admin., he said that
he didn't want to go to the Client32 mode????
I installed the win95 printer agent, but it did some strange stuff. My
server is called CAD_GROUP with the rprinter machine being called GD, for
the user. Windows started showing 2 servers, and every so often it would
show a GD with an inkjet attached. It doesn't appear to be a 100% fix.
Thanks, Brian
