Walk in the park....
OK
1) Make sure you have the jre installed & the JDBC driver file to hand
somewhere on your PC
2) go to tools/datasources
3) Click on the "New Data Source"
4) select the database type of "JDBC" & enter the URL in the
"Data source URL"
5) Click on the tab marked "JDBC" & fill in the rest of the details.
Job done. If you then want to see the tables etc click on the
"Tables" tab etc.etc.
This is the same on both Windows & Linux. Compare the above to Joe
trying to get ODBC running on Linux.
