Here's a few things that I have found in my adventuries in Linuxland:

Definately. I lost my temper quite often . Lotsa coffe / tea /
whatever to smooth it out.

One good tip I found out is that in Konqueror, you can read man & info
pages by writing "man:whatever" in the address field, where
"whatever" of course refers to what ever it is you were looking
to find out about. It formats the output a zillion times better than the
command line system (less or whatever), prints out pretty nicely and
generates links to find related information. Way cool!

Ha! These bozos here in this very group made me look in about three
gazillion different places for all sorts of crap to install for this, while
it was there all along (I'm joking of course - I had lots of help from you
guys :-) . Again, go to Konqueror and type "smb://server/folder",
assuming you've got Samba installed (which is included in RedHat so unless
you uninstalled it, it should be there). Amazing all this stuff that isn't
mentioned anywhere ;-)

Watch out for KDE 2 - it's flaky at least in my Mandrake installation, kept
crashing here and there very annoyingly. Linux itself stayed up, but I had
to restart KDE and many apps (Konqueror, Nautilus, Mandrake Control Center,
OpenOffice Writer...) quite a few times.

Supposed to anyway - I couldn't get a USB ZIP drive to work, nor a USB
CD-burner. Might have been too old (ZIP drive) / new (CD-burner) hardware,
I dunno, but I didn't get neither one working.
