That's probably true. Several BBS software packages assign a specific
BA> number to each echo and that's how the software refers to it internally
When a packet is expanded. one of the files is docs.ptr as I
stated before. When this file is viewed, you see a list of
numbers. As you say, the first number in a row is the echo
number. that is followed by a comma and than a quite large
number. That following number seems to be a pointer of some sort
but I can see no correlation between it and the number of
messages in an echo, from packet to packet. One would expect to
see that number increase in value but I'm not seeing that
happen.
Sure can waste a lot of valueable nap time messin' with this
stuff!!
