Hi Tim!

Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately, none of my lists show who the call sign SPLASH is
associated with. SLAMs are probably F-15's out of Otis.

As far as the frequencies go that you posted, I can confirm most of
them.

233.6 - ??? See if you can find out who this belongs to. You
        mentioned the SPLASH aircraft here.
228.7 - Huntress, also in use up here over northern New York in
        the Falcon and Aks MOAs.
139.875 - McGuire KC-10 refueling and plane-to-plane freq.
Routinely heard up here as well. I've heard 'em use
this freq in every AR airspace up here.
349.4 - Command Post, probably McGuire's.
252.8 - My records show this is used by the Supervisor of Flight
at McGuire. It could also be a USAF tactical.
324.6 - AR freq. Used up here for AR route running from western
        Vermont to northern Maine.
287.5 - ???? Nothing in my records for this one.
238.9 - AR freq., pretty much the same as 324.6.

A couple comments about tankers and other aircraft from McGuire.
On their way home from the frozen wastes of Vermont, Boston center
will frequently clear them direct Keene (NH), direct Hampton (NY)
or direct Albany (NY), direct Hampton (NY). You should have no
trouble hearing these guys as they come south over Conn. and turn
southwest toward McGuire. You can probably even see them as they
head out to Hampton.

I've also noticed McGuire tankers using a new call sign....TEAM.
This seems to be used by the KC-10's. You'll probably hear
plane-to-plane chatter on 139.875 from the KC-10's. The pilot
from McGuire I talked with at the Burlington Air National Guard
open house told me 139.875 was used exclusively by the KC-10's.

Keep me posted on what you're hearing!!

You didn't, by any chance, monitor any US Navy P-3 traffic the
night TWA 800 crashed, did you? I've heard they were out working
in W-106 just south of the crash site that evening test firing missiles.

I can confirm that Calverton 1 and Calverton 2 are controlled by
Quonset.
