I think if it uses true CRC then it's not too hard, you only need to know
the polynomial it's using, now that's the harder part. :-)

What I usually do when I need help is to send a message to one or two
newsgroups which I think likely to be helpful, and I usually get a couple
of replies back. It works! :-)
