Major Timothy "Skippy" Daris shifted his grip on the flight
stick,palms slightly sweaty, and let out a low breath.  Behind him in the
cargo deck, stacked very precisely were six tons of medical and relief
supplies for refugees in the Islands. As usual around sunset, Eagles rode
the thermals and rising along the kilometer heights of the Central command
tower. The tower's height made for some spectacular updrafts and made
take-off and landings on the small pad an "exciting" chore.
        "Mail 1, this is the Tower, you are cleared for take-off, we are
reading a gusty-crosswind at one-oh-niner so watch the com antenna clearance."
        "Copy Tower, I will see you in the morning."
The whine of the engines climbed to a Roar that scattered the soaring
eagles and Daris lifted off the pad..
