Ooooops!  We spoke too soon.  I am having troubles again.  It seems both
ncftp and lftp are experiencing timeouts while waiting.  I thought I
trimmed the echoes down enough so that this shouldn't happen but for
whatever reason it is a no-go this morning.  As I type this lftp is sitting
and waiting on another console.  We'll see how that goes but I have doubts.

This is a very good idea but we obviously need to work out a couple of
kinks.  I tried resetting timeouts, passive mode, etc. but something seems
rather odd.  lftp is still waiting.  I'll give it a couple more minutes and
see.

I have a simular setup going with another BBS and he is running the same
software as you.  I did experience some simular problems but after trimming
down the echoes there it now works.  Did it this morning.  However the
amount of messages were small enough that no timeouts were experienced.

Nope.  Still waiting.  I'll try telnetting and resetting the list of
scanned echoes and see if that helps.  Sorry about all this but I am sure
we can crack this problem eventually.
