Hello Nancy!

Yeah. In the past there were people living on the same street who could help me
resolve software issues for a little fee (beer to be exact).
Now I have to fight software issues myself. It is especially hard when software
is not set up at all and you cannot cry for help in local echos on your uplink.

Ah... I would not call that a BBS. I'm mostly acting as a FidoNet point.
I've tried to use Mystic BBS as my main and only software pack and entry point,
but it does not support CP866 for Z2 (which I need to read and reply to
messages in Russian echoareas).
So right now I have binkd running as daemon on my linux VPS, hpt to parse
packets and GoldEd+ to read messages.
Mystic BBS set up separately and receives and posts messages as .666 on my
node. Not very convenient and might be against Policy. So most probably there
will be no BBS on my node (who needs another one anyway?).

I'm still thinking about getting rid of my uplink in Z2 and to use Mystic BBS
only. But I already had some issues with file tossing.
I also tried MBSE and BBBS, but didnt' like them. Especially I didn't like the
necessity of having system account for every BBS user (don't quite remember
which one required that).
All in all I was unable to find a BBS software that could replace
binkd+hpt+golded, and be convenient and easy to use. ):
