One thing you can do with the Pi is get it to download email from your
ISP, and run an IMAP sever. Then all your email clients on computers,
tablets and phones can read email from the IMAP server (using a VPN from
outside). This has the advantage of only having to read email once,
rather than finding it unread again on every other device.
