PM-> I'd be interested in this answer too. I have written one script for
MPro
-> 1.53 that will automatically collect my mail from one BBS that I call,
but
-> don't see it as being a generic script -- it looks for certain prompts
fro
-> the BBS. So I'm skeptical (but hoping someone can convince me) that you
ca
-> write a generic script that will work an all BBSes.
This would be impossible, since BBS systems differ within the same
software. If you have VBBS, you can make a system look and act however
you want. Different prompts, different menus, different options and
doors... the options are endless. Many BBS softwares allow such
variance, so I guess you can see that generic script would never work on
all systems.
The best way to accomplish this is to make a seperate phonebook entry
and change the name of the script to a new name. Turn on Quicklearn,
call the BBS and pick and choose the options you want to automate.
AFter loggin off, TURN OFF Quicklearn. This script will be a rough
draft for future use. Then, dig out that QmPro manual and start reading
on the script language. With a LITTLE effort, you can configure a
workable script to catch varing logon prompts, d/l QWK packets and the
like...
