Cool, a Freenet!
The one that went up here was very nice.  Usenet newsgroups, access
to web sites, e-mail was all there.  It was run by our local urban
university -- VCU -- and the Public Broadcasting System.
VCU shut it down when the guy who was heading it all up lost interest.
But as long as it lasted, it was great.
