BF> Does anyone know tips on how to make a WWW page truly successful? Many

My pet peeve with WEB pages are the ones that send thousands of bytes of
glitzy glorious non essential graphics to my machine, while I sit and
watch. Then when the page is fully loaded I find that none of them do
what I want.
If your purpose IS graphics then by all means use them to the fullest,
because those who want graphics will seek out your page to get them.
If your purpose is information than keep them to a minimum, and your
page will load faster and get more usage.
Also avoid too many links to different pages for different purposes.
You can go too deep into a subject (like sub directories on a disk) and
loose the readers interest.
I have a page set up that is pretty simple and conveys my message as
quickly and neatly as possible. It hasn't been up long and doesn't get
much traffic yet. I need to get it registered with more search engines.
Give it a look and see what you think!
