I had to ask  well now I have my reading cut out for me.  I would 
like everyone to remind me not to ask Charles to get me data to support 
his positions.  He takes me seriously!  
Actually I am grateful to have this dialogue because I can gain a better 
understanding of the opposing POV regarding WL.  I am on a ListServ that 
is a discussion group for Whole Language.  I will pose some questions to 
that group and raise some of the issues you have presented and see what 
we can come up with.  In the meantime I will be gone for about a week 
and then school begins so.......
