Yep, I did it the same way as I do the stable tarballs.

Yep, first I do make all. I always try make install as a regular user and
if it fails I run it with su.

 GKA> You can for a makeinstall.err file use the command with :
 make >> /filename and make install > filename

That's what I need. I just need to redirect stderr along with stdout and I
forget how to do that. Something to do with $2.
