Har! Actually, thinking about it a little more, I wonder if you could
arrange free-floating LEDs in a normal lava lamp using an induction system
to recharge them when they sink to the bottom of the flask. You know the
way the Sonicare toothbrushes charge? Like that.

I'm sure it would be easy enough to make the LEDs neutral buoyancy in the
oil, but heat resistance might be a problem.
