Today the Judge made a decision on the Duarte case...against impossible
odds, Elena Duarte and Adrian Chavez won!  Not only did the Judge return
Adrian to his mother, but the Judge completely dismissed ALL petitions 
and charges against the mother.  I don't know the exact details as yet,
but I do know this...Children's Protective Services was told that not
only did they NOT have a case, but they NEVER should have taken Adrian
away from his mother in the first place!!!
I can't wait to see the paper tomorrow and get more of the details.
For a parent to win at this stage, in this county, is almost an
impossibility.  I am so thankful to her present Public Defender,
Christopher Bowen.  Not only did he bring Elena's little boy home,
but he was also a major contibutor in bringing home a little girl
that is very near and dear to my heart.
