| subject: | First ever telnet GWTerm |
Well, I think this might be official. I added (rudamentary) GWTerm support into the OS/X/Win32/Linux telnet terminal I am working on today. To my knowledge, this is the first telnet term with native GWTerm support, and I'm chomping at the bit to release it :) It's a work in progress, but I've put a screenshot of the program in action with three different bbs connections going on (one with GWTem showing in the front) at the URL below: http://www.johndaileysoftware.com/telnet/img-telnet1.jpg The terminal can also be resized to full-screen (or shrunk down), which is very cool- playing Global War at 1280x1024 :) Unfortunately, the GWTerm "protocol" interferes to some extent with standard telnet and ANSI protcol commands, so I imagine that I will be changing the GWTerm protocol in the near future. In other news, I'll be sending each of the Hackin' Crackin' beta testers a new version in the next few days. There's been some improvements, and I'm trying to hack out the FOSSIL support so it actually works :) ---* Origin: http ftp telnet://badnews.bbs.us & badnewsbbs.darktech.org (3:633/690) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 633/690 285 260 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
