MG> There are only two ways around this; either use a MG> virtual modem device which mimics what the DOS apps MG> expect, and run a DOS BBS package which will then pass MG> the port handle properly to a DOS door under this MG> setup, or run the Win32 BBS with a special fossil MG> driver that is called everytime the DOS based door is MG> called, which will then translate the Win comm port MG> handle setting to what the DOS app expects. MG> Programs like COM/IP and Netmodem work in the first MG> example. Programs like SyncFos and NetFoss work in the MG> second. An NT-based system is required for the special MG> fossil drivers to work. I'm using COM/IP and a DOS BBS right now. I spent $85 US a month ago on it.. are you saying that I can use Maximus win32 with NetFoss? Or even SyncFoss? I'm interested in SyncFoss, but not netfoss. NetFoss doesn't support binary file transfers like ZModem and crashes when you try to do that.
