CH> Hmm. Did you notice if the power band moved up or down? I wonder if
CH> it's too much cam for the carb/ports/compression?

Overall, power is down across the band, with a slight bent to higher end
capabilities. That brute-force-grunt just doesn't seem to be there at any
speed.

CH> the brand, but no web site with specs found. J.C.Whitney lists the
CH> cams, but with their own part number. Useless.

I'll keep on looking.

CH> I'm looking for a 454 throttle body myself. Been slowly collecting
CH> parts for a 366 BBC I found. Got pistons, bearings, gasket set and a
CH> bunch more stuff. Even scored a TBI intake for a tall deck, which the
CH> 366 is. Need the throttle body next. eBay has them, but they end up
CH> going for $150US or so. Not worth it for a used (misused?) piece.

I was told the big block tbi unit (and its adaptor) will bolt to a typical
4bbl manifold. Have I been mis-informed on that?

->Currently we're about 10 below freezing, with night time temps dipping furth
->no snow within the past week, but did get around 8" last
weekend. Supposedly
->we'll be hoving around the freezing point in the coming week.

CH> Our high has been at or below freezing for much of the past month.
CH> Low is quite a bit below freezing. All in all, a normal winter - for
CH> about 30 years ago. The past couple of decades has been mild and dry.
CH> Many ski resorts have had a bad time of it until this year.

I typed that too soon. Last night we hit a new record low of -27C (with a minus
40 somthing windchill). Todays been hovering around -18. D*mn cold!

Alex.
