And like you said, the passengers are under no obligation to help
whereas United is.  They provide a service, let them do it right,
and not in a "one size fits all," manner.

might have to try several times as often their machine is either
turned off or out of paper.  Also, there customer service line is
not a toll free number and often a person is placed on hold for
long periods of time on daytime rates trying to talk to someone.
