Some newsgroups make their messages available in digest format.
That is....maybe 15 or 20 individual messages are packaged into
one and be rec'd via E-Mail (NetMail if your BBS permits). To get
on the mailing list (subscribe) one must send an E-Mail request
message to the specific mail server.
Perhaps others may want to post the E-mail address of some newsgroup
mailing lists for all of us to review.
All messages found in the newsgroup are addressed to ALL. To reply to a
specific message therein, one must send E-Mail to that individual.
If one wants to enter a message in the newsgroup for all to receive,
an E-Mail must be sent to an address given when you subscribe. The
address to subscribe and to enter messages are often different. Its
useful to save on disc the subscrition confirmation message rec'd for
instructions on their procedures for future use.
