RN>Hi :)
RN>Can anyone please inform me on what are the Hayes AT commands. Most
RN>especially the command to connect via voice first connection.
RN>Lastly, please if somebody knows the equivalent modem command for the
RN>"FLASH" and "*" key which are found on FAX machines. I have a fax that
RN>needs to enter the "FLASH" then the "*" and after that the codes to get
RN>thru the security to dial long distance... And I need to set it in my
RN>modem so that I can call long distance from it... BTW, we are using
RN>digital telephones not analog.
RN>Oh... is it possible to use a digital line with my modem? I think and I
RN>know it's not but is there any other way I can use the modem to connect
RN>directly to the digital line that we have instead of purchasing this so
RN>called "ATA" cards...
RN>Hoping to hear from you...
RN>Thanking you in advance...
RN>Stay safe... Keep cool...

Runer,
Which Hayes modem do you have and what voice software are you using?
It is not necessary to know the specific voice commands in most cases,
as these are imbedded in the software that you are using. No modem will
work on a digital line, but there are adapters available that will
allow you to connect the modem 'in-line' with the phone handset from a
digital phone. One such adapter is known by the brand 'Konexx' and can
be obtained from

The dial command for a flash is !, and the dial command for * is,
as you might guess, '*'.
