Using the Agent newsreader, I see an html message as an Agent icon that I can double-click to open as html if I want. So, I have been skipping your messages for a few days, not because I'm too lazy to double-click or too cheap to use a reader that will render html, but because I do not want all the clever effects that are possible in html, including many effects that are actually bugs and can do who-knows-what. Html is a potential security hazard, although I don't recall ever hearing about an html exploit in a newsgroup message, other than tracking via images. When you receive a message, the only secure format these days is plain text. Html, pdf, xls, doc all have issues. Bear in mind that it would be easy for someone to post messages claiming to come from any of us here.
