Keep that sucker out of bright sunlight and away from lemon juice or vinegar.
And have another, more permanent, certified copy made of it.

I had, at one time, a Photostat copy of my birth record ... from the Illinois
State Archives when they were giving out such for a 50c fee.

It wasn't the courthouse that burned with all my records, but my house.
And by the time I needed a copy of that record, Archives wouldn't give it up
without a court order.
