I'd like to thank everyone here for their supportive, kind words. It's
nice to find a pocket of good in this murky world.

I have found that, since opening up about how I was feeling, the dark
cloud has started to lift a bit. It's only been a few days, so I'm not
going to base any career decisions on this newfound perspective ;-),
but I'm feeling better than I have in a long time.

Yeah, I coulda shoulda woulda a lot of things. I coulda continued in
traditional education like I shoulda, and I coulda gone broke to have
a piece of paper that fit everyone's bill, and then maybe I woulda
never met and married my wife, never had kids, and lived a miserably
lonely life as the pride of McGill or something.  Coulda shoulda
woulda but I din't.

If I focus on my goals and ambitions, I'm far more likely to get
somewhere in the next 33 years than if I focus on the
couldawouldashouldas of life.
