The first position sounds pretty reasonable the second is completely stupid.
That's plently enough difference to at least make the letter suspect. The
letter also sounds like somebody thought that the HCI position needed just a
little bit of "improvement" to better reflect those darn secret agendas they
have.  
I don't know who wrote the letter. They did a pretty good job overall, only
going overboard on the secrecy angle. But, there's also a tiny little mistake
in the letter that, I think, is the dead giveaway that it was at least not
written by Sara Brady. Can you find it? And I am not talking about the goof 
p
in the address.
