   I want a single partition. I have known about this problem since I =
installed the drive. It is easy to fix just using a defrag. I've only =
had to do so two or three times in as many years.

  Why not use something like Acronis, and shrink the C partition to =
under=20
  128gig, and then use the balance as a second partition?

     Windows XP on this system. The computer running Vista worked great =
but I=20
  gave it away. The problem with this system is that I have a 160 GB =
boot=20
  drive and a BIOS that only supports 128 GB. When any boot file =
resides in=20
  part beyond 128 GB the system won't boot.
