Sorry to keep troubling you with this, ok I can get the spell check to start
with ^s then it lets me select language, but then nothing, it changes the
mis-spelled words back to white but no correction or no offer or suggestions of
correct spelling..?

So ^S brings up a window that says "select Language" hit enter get lists of
language select english us then what I described above.
