My worry is police authority creep.

It starts off with the Mexicans and Latinos and law enforcement becomes
accustomed to these new powers.

They get used to rousting people without consequences and it becomes
a casual thing to them, second nature.

Who is to say it stops at Latinos when that 
becomes their usual habit and perhaps no one else is around to witness
what is going on?

It's bad enough that they're violating the rights of legal Latino
citizens but who is to say where such authority once given finally
stops?
